83RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE UPRISING

83RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE UPRISING
On 14 October 1943, an armed uprising of prisoners broke out at the German death camp in Sobibór. It was one of the most heroic acts of resistance during the Holocaust. The uprising hastened the decision to liquidate the camp. Nearly sixty people survived the death camp in Sobibór, most of them participants in the uprising.

On the eighty-third anniversary of these events, we invite you to take part in the commemorative ceremonies, which will be held on 14 October 2026 at the Museum and Memorial Site in Sobibór.
