The State Museum at Majdanek invites to participate in the design competition of the permanent exhibition at the Museum and Memorial Site in Sobibór. German Nazi death camp (1942–1943). Branch of the State Museum at Majdanek.

The competition is open to natural persons, legal persons and organizational entities not being a legal persons, both from Poland or abroad, that shall have proven knowledge, experience and professional skills to ensure full performance of the contract.

Participants in the competition who, according to the jury, meet the assessment criteria in most appropriate manner, shall be awarded with prize money:

- 1st prize – PLN 15,000;

-2nd prize – PLN 10,00;

- 3rd prize – PLN 5,000.

Apart from that, the winner of the competition shall receive an additional prize, i.e. the invitation to the negotiated procedure. The subject of the procedure shall be a detailed draw up of the competition entry and project documentation.

The deadline for submitting the application to participate in the competition shall expire on February 14, 2019, and for submitting the competition entries on April 29, 2019. Public announcement of the results of the competition shall take place on May 14, 2019. The competition is organized with financial support by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The exhibition scenario has been worked up by the staff of the State Museum at Majdanek. The new exhibition will present factual knowledge about the German death camp operating in Sobibór in 1942–1943 in broad historical context.
