Agreement on cooperation with the Warsaw Ghetto Museum
On March 26, Tomasz Kranz, director of the State Museum at Majdanek, and Albert Stankowski, director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, signed a cooperation agreement. The cooperation will include scientific and educational activities, and incorporate the research and dissemination of knowledge about the Holocaust and the fate of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto and surrounding cities murdered in the Nazi German camps at Majdanek and in Bełżec and Sobibór.
Conclusion of the agreement between the institutions is the result of a visit that took place a month ago at the State Museum at Majdanek made by delegation of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum. The cooperation aims to create, together with the Treblinka Museum, a triangle of places commemorating the extermination of Jews deported from the Warsaw Ghetto. It is planned to organize a joint seminar for guides and educators.
